Henry Thiessen was a farmer in Clackamas County, Oregon, and a member of the Farmer's Alliance, the grange, and the Direct Legislation Club. The collection (May 1, 1892 - September 30, 1901) contains a ledger that was used as a diary and account book, with almost daily entries regarding farm work and chores, accounts, and some political activity.
