Robert Sharp Bean (1854-1931) served in the Oregon Circuit Court from 1882-1890, in the Oregon Supreme Court from 1890-1909, and in U.S. District Court from 1909-1931.The papers consist of correspondence, letters relating to cases before the court, legal files and case files.

Collection contains correspondence, legal documents, publications and articles, miscellany, and newspaper clippings relating to the trial of Annette Buchanan, Managing Editor for the Oregon Daily Emerald, in the late 1960's.

Typed copy of radio address given by Senator George W. Joseph over station KXL, Sept. 13, 1928. The speech opposes Chief Justice John L. Rand, candidate for re-election to the Oregon Supreme Court.

Orval J. Millard was a circuit court judge for Josephine County, Oregon. The album contains remembrances and photographs presented by members of the Josephine County Bar.

Joint Resolution 24, by the Oregon Senate, created an interim Committee of Judicial Administration that was empowered to inquire into and make recommendations regarding the feasibility and need for reorganization of judicial districts in Oregon. The collection (1957-1959) contains questionnaires and evaluations of judges and courts, drafts of bills, subcommittee reports, and recommendations.
