Abstract

This collection contains information about Oregon Quicksilver Incorporated and Mines Service Incorporated, both located in Oregon. The collection contains superintendent's reports, timecards, stocks, invoices, correspondence, photographs, and legal documents. Also contained in this collection is information about the Prosperity Mine and the Bonanza Bar in the form of placer claims, drawings of locations, legal documents and notes.

Abstract

Milnor Roberts (1877-1965) was a mining engineer, a professor, and Dean of the College of Mines at the University of Washington. The collection (1901-1945) contains project, research, and field work files on mines, harbors, and mining projects in many western states and in Africa, and material includes reports, correspondence, notes, maps, and printed material.

Abstract Collection consists of Waterman's personal and professional documents. The small collection is divided into two series. The first series contains personal papers, correspondence, and tax records. The second contains corporate documents. There are extensive files concerning the American Institute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers as well as other memberships. The collection is primarily focused on Waterman's business ventures and contains little information about his personal life....
