Columbia River -- Power utilization

William Daniel Boone Dodson (1871-1950) had a long career with the Portland Chamber of Commerce, serving as general manager, executive vice-president, and as director of industrial promotion where he worked chiefly on the industrial development of Oregon. The collection (1947-1949) contains correspondence, reports, biographical information, and publications.

Benjamin Hamilton Kizer (1878 - ) was an attorney and a member and official of planning boards/commissions including the American Society of Planning Officials, Northwest Regional Council, and the National Resources Planning Board. The collection (1934-1959) contains reports, documents, and correspondence of boards and commissions to which Kizer belonged and a transcript of the 1949 State Department Round Table discussion on American policy towards China.

Samuel Moment worked as an industry development consultant from 1940 to 1954 for the Bonneville Power Administration and from 1955 to 1995 as a consultant to world organizations. The collection contains documents related to the legal dispute over placement of Snake River dams during the Eisenhower administration.

Harold A. Rands (1871-1952) was a civil engineer who superintended hydroelectric installations, was in charge of power and flood control surveys on the Columbia River and tributaries for the U. S. Corp of Engineers, and served as senior engineer for the construction of the Bonneville Dam and powerhouse complex. The collection contains field diaries, correspondence, reports, project files including Columbia river and Bonneville Dam projects, and photographs.
