John G. Bacher (1883-1961) was a horticulturist and landscape gardener. The collection includes Bacher’s diaries, correspondence, plant catalogs, articles, and reports on plants and trips to Europe and Central America.

Arthur Erfeldt (1909-1993) was an Oregon landscape architect and graduate of the University of Oregon. The Arthur William Erfeldt collection consists primarily of landscape design plans and drawings.

Olaf Laurgaard (1880-1945) was city engineer of Portland, Oregon. The papers are correspondence, reports, plans, specifications, and drawings for a Portland, Oregon waterfront project, 1919-1933, and other city projects.

The architectural firm of McKim, Mead, and White was formed in 1878. The collection contains a notice of a lien against Oregon and Transcontinental Company that was filed with the Multnomah County Clerk's office on February 18, 1885.

The Independent Organization of Odd Fellows is a fraternal organization that traces its roots back to 17th century England. The collection contains a contract, dated June 7, 1869, between the Odd Fellows organization and William Braden for carpenter and joiner work on an Odd Fellows building in Portland, Oregon.
