Walter Huss (1918-2006) was a reverend, a businessman, a conservative who competed in Republican primaries in Oregon, and was chair of the Oregon Republican party from 1978-1979. The collection contains subject files on a variety of topics including conservative politics, Foursquare church and ministry, alternative medicine, Christian schools, and materials include financial records, correspondence, pamphlets, clippings, and other printed matter, audio, and video tapes.

Ruth Mountaingrove is a photographer, writer and artist who moved to Oregon in 1971, settling in communes and eventually co-founding Rootworks, a lesbian community in Southern Oregon. The collection consists of 21 VHS videotapes of Mountaingrove relating the story of her life by talking, dancing, and singing.

Abstract Kim Stafford is a writer from the Pacific Northwest. His poetry and essays focus on the relationship of people with nature and social custom. Stafford places great value on folklore and bases much of the research for his own writing on the study of folk custom and oral history. He has taught and served as an artist-in-residence throughout the state of Oregon and in Washington, Idaho, and California.
