Franklin M. Reck (1896-1965) was an author of books for young boys. The collection includes correspondence, notebooks, and literary manuscripts for books, articles, short stories, early works, and presentations to the Ford Foundation.

Denise Royal (1935- ) was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania and was educated at the University of Pennsylvania. She did public relations work, and spent time as a free-lance writer. Most of the collection represents the research and writing of a young people's biography of J. Robert Oppenheimer, published by Saint Martin Press, 1969:

Millicent Selsam (1912- 1996) was a biologist and teacher who wrote natural science literature for children. This collection primarily contains manuscripts, illustrations, and other materials related to published works as well as various versions of paperbacks and correspondence.

Alice Jacqueline Kennedy Steffan (1907- ) was an author of books for children who published under the pseudonym Jack Steffan. The collection includes correspondence with publishers, manuscripts and other material related to eight books, including The Long Fellow.

Dorothy Sterling (1913-2008 ) is a writer, particularly of fiction and non-fiction books for children and young adults.

Emma Gelders Sterne (1894-1971) was primarily a writer of juvenile literature. The Sterne collection consists of manuscripts and supporting materials for eleven books, two plays, two speeches, and correspondence.

Edward Stratemeyer (1862-1927) was an author and founded the Stratemeyer Syndicate which produced adventure story series for children, such as Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, Tom Swift, Honey Bunch, and the Bobbsey Twins. The collection includes literary manuscripts and fan letters.

James L. Summers (1910-1973) wrote books and short stories for young adults. The collection consists of manuscripts, galley proofs, correspondences, and published materials.

Collection comprises correspondence, literary manuscripts, and foreign language translations by author, editor, and translator Anne Terry White (1896-1980).

Hazel Wilson (April 8, 1898-August 20, 1992) worked in many positions at libraries around the country as well as a position overseas. She also held other positions relating to students. The material in this collection reflects her career as an author.

Lee and Robert Wyndham were authors of children’s books as well as holding many other positions pertaining to writing. Their collection includes correspondence, miscellaneous materials, published works and many manuscripts that represent the careers of the Wyndhams.

Herbert Spencer Zim (1909-1994) was a teacher and author in the field of science. His works in this collection reflect his work in the science field. Sonia Bleeker Zim was an editor for a publishing house and a writer of youth books. Her work in this collection represents her career as a youth author.
