The Lone Fir Cemetery is the oldest of Portland's original cemeteries and was established in 1846. Collection includes articles of incorporation, oaths of office, records concerning the Oregon Asylum, annual reports of the treasurer, stock certificates, vouchers, and miscellaneous items.
KOIN Radio Station of Portland, Oregon was incorporated by C. W. Myers, Harry W. Ely, and D. M. Smith in 1926 and was dissolved in 1952. The collection (1926-1952) contains articles of incorporation, stockholder's and Board of Director's meeting minutes, stock subscription information, and correspondence.
Lippman Sachs and his brothers immigrated to American in 1861 and settled in Jacksonville, Oregon where they operated a dry goods store until 1875; the Reames Brothers then purchased the building and continued a general store until 1886. The collection (1874-1875; 1881-1884)) contains a Sachs Bros. ledger account book which also includes account pages of the Reames Bros. store.
Saul Marks and Company, of Roseburg, Oregon, was a retail and commission firm. The collection (1871-1885) consists of letters received.
Steinberger was an Army officer in command of the District of Oregon in 1862. Most of the correspondence concerns military matters in Oregon and Washington, 1862-1865, with political and personal overtones.
Stephens-Weatherford Co. was a timber holding company headquartered in Albany, Oregon. The collection (1919-1945) contains one record book that contains a journal of expenses, and a ledger of accounts.
The Sugar Pine Mill and Fixture Company, located in Albany, Oregon, was incorporated by George W. Hochstedler, Edmund Zeyss, and C. W. Sears. The collection (1894-1903) consists of a a record book containing incorporation records, meeting minutes, stock, and stockholders information.
Washington Street Market Company was a grocery firm in Portland, Oregon incorporated by Samson Hirsch, Otto J. Kraemer, and M. I. Gustavson. The collection (1932-1933) contains articles of incorporation, correspondence, stockholder's and Board of Director's meeting minutes, and receipts.
Willamette Draying and Forwarding Co. was incorporated in Portland, Oregon, on January 17, 1870, by Robert, James, and John Holman, and George W. Taylor, and it exists today as the Holman Distribution Center, a warehousing and transportation company. The collection (1870-1871) contains a journal and a day book.
Jerome Workman was an attorney in Eugene, Oregon, who also served as secretary of the Chamber of Commerce. The collection (1912-1914) contains correspondence regarding Oregon businesses, including transportation and mining firms.
Founded in 1888, the Yaquina Deep Sea Fishing Company operated out of Portland, Oregon. The collection consists of a single stock certificate issued by the company.
C.C. Jantzen and J. A. Zehntbauer purchased the manufacturing department of the Portland (Oregon) Knitting Company in 1909; this company was the manufacturer of the Jantzen clothing line. The collection contains a letter dated November 18, 1917, from Zehntbauer to J. L. Krantz, regarding the early history of the company, and problems that arose without access to a worsted (wool) spinning mill in the West.
