Abstract Frazier Augustus Boutelle was an army officer who served in the Civil War, and also in various frontier posts in Oregon, Texas, Montana, and California. From 1889 to 1890, he was superintendent of Yellowstone National Park, and in 1895 became adjutant general of the state of Washington.
