This collections is comprised of two letters from Senator Wayne Morse to Mel Byers in response to letters to the editor written by Mr. Byers. It also includes a program from the 14th Annual Banquet for the Washington County Democratic Central Committee and an oversize Oregonian clipping about Mr. Byers' many letters to the editor.

The C. Girard Davidson Papers document the career of attorney, politician, and businessman Crow Girard "Jebby" Davidson (1910-1996). The collection is organized into major series concerning government projects, legal cases, political activities, and business interests. The majority of material related to Davidson's service as Assistant Secretary of the Interior (1946-1950) is housed in the Truman Presidential Library in Independence, Missouri.

He was a member of the Labor and Welfare Committee, Armed Services Committee, and Foreign Relations Committee and served as a delegate to the United Nations. The collection contains senatorial papers, 1944-1968, research material, arbitration decisions, speeches, financial material, mementos and personal and general correspondence.
