Scope and Contents

The Richard W. Lindholm faculty papers contain publications, bound volumes with typescript copies of lectures, press releases, project files, and correspondence related to Lindholm’s work on the Michigan State University Vietnam Project regarding the economy of Vietnam and the Vietnam war from 1953-1974. The bound volumes with lectures are written in both English and Vietnamese. Some publications related to Vietnam are written in French. There are also certificates, ribbons, photographs, newspaper clippings, and correspondence documenting Lindholm’s professional work and achievements.

Biographical/Historical note

Dr. Richard W. Lindholm, born June 11, 1913, was a professor of finance and the dean of the University of Oregon School of Business. He was also a professor of economics at Michigan State University. The majority of his published work focused on public finance and taxation. As part of the Michigan State University Vietnam Project, he worked on the economy of Vietnam and the Vietnam war. Lindholm died on November 4, 1994.
