Scope and Contents
This collection consists of one photograph album of construction of Pittock Block in Portland, Oregon. About two-thirds of the photographs were done by Angelus Photo Co., presumably for the architects (Doyle & Patterson) and/or the engineers (Brayton Engineering Company). Most photographs are exterior shots of construction taken from the same vantage point. The photo album contains 76 8"x10" black and white photographs.

Doyle and Patterson Architects was a leading architecture firm in Portland, Oregon during the early 20th century. It was headed by Albert Ernest Doyle (1877-1928). It later became Doyle, Patterson, and Beach Architects.
Brayton Engineering Company operated in Portland, Oregon during the early 20th century.
The Angelus Commercial Photo Company was established in Portland, Oregon around 1911, and specialized in commercial subjects.
