Series I: Subseries B: contains songbooks also organized alphabetically by title.

Series II: contains biographical information, and Series III: contains photographs.

Biographical / Historical

Lowell Patton (1893-1961) was born in Portland, Oregon, and studied organ under Carl Denton. He was nationally known as a radio organist.

He was organist in the Chautauqua and Lyceum circuits in the 1920s, and was organist of the First Methodist Church, Portland, Oregon. From 1932-1957, was organist of the First Presbyterian Church, Hempstead, New York.

Lowell Patton (1893-1961) became an organist, working in the Chautauqua and Lyceum circuits in the 1920s, and was organist of the First Methodist Church, Portland, Oregon. He was organist of the First Presbyterian Church, Hempstead, New York from 1932-1957. The collection contains published and manuscript music, biographical material, and photographs.
