Biographical / Historical

James Watson Hamilton (1857-1933) attended Umpqua Academy in Wilbur, Oregon, and Oregon Agricultural College. He was a circuit judge in Roseburg, Oregon and a member of the Board of Regents at the University of Oregon. He worked as a clerk in the law office of S.H. Hazard of Empire City, Oregon. On Feb. 5, 1879 he formed a partnership with Hazard.
