Biographical / Historical

William Cornell (1812-1891) was a pioneer and methodist minister who moved from Alexandria, Ohio to the Oregon Territory, establishing a land claim along what would become Cornell Road, in the Cedar Mill suburb of Portland, Oregon.

William Cornell was a pioneer from Alexandria, Ohio. This collection consist of a copy of his diary that describes his crossing of the plains in 1852 to Oregon.
