Biographical / Historical
Michael A. Meyendorff (1849-1908) was a Polish revolutionary (in Russia), later an exile living in the United States. He was released to the United States through government intercession in 1866.
As an American, Meyendorff embarked on lecture tours, and became an agent for the U. S. Land Office. He was befriended by Thomas B. Neuhausen of Portland, Oregon, from whose papers this collection is extracted.

Abstract
Michael A. Meyendorff (1849-1908) was a Polish revolutionary (in Russia), who was released to the United States through government intercession in 1866, and who later relocated to Oregon. The collection (1861-1908) contains personal and official correspondence (some in Russian), scrapbooks, an autobiographical manuscript, and estate papers.
