Scope and Contents
The collection contains correspondence from constituents, correspondence while serving in the Oregon legislature and District Attorney, personal letters, and other political correspondence.
The first section of professional correspondence is organized by date, 1928-1937.
Personal correspondence is organized alphabetically from the 1930s.
Political correspondence includes letters exchanged with Governor Charles H. Martin, Representative Walter M. Pierce, and other state Democrats.
The collection contains about 3,000 letters.
