Scope and Contents

The collection contains letterpress copy books that include personal and business correspondence, a record book of the Ben Young Land Company, a scrapbook, and twenty-one volumes of British America Packing Company journals, cash books, letterpress copy books, ledgers, and invoice books, 1882-1906.

The British America Packing Company consists of three cash books (1882-1890), six journals (1882-1891), five ledgers (1882-1891), and one invoice book (1890). There is also one letterpress copy book (1884-1889) containing just British America Packing Company (BAPC) correspondence and two additional letterpress copy books containing BAPC correspondence and Young personal letters (1886-1898).

There are also two letterpress copy books consisting of Young's personal and business correspondence (1899-1906), one record book of the Ben Young Land Company, Astoria, Oregon (1891-1904), and one scrapbook that includes speeches and clippings.

The collection contains letterpress copy books that include personal and business correspondence, a record book of the Ben Young Land Company, a scrapbook, and twenty-one volumes of British America Packing Company journals, cash books, letterpress copy books, ledgers, and invoice books, 1882-1906.
