On March 14, 1836, an indenture was drawn up between James Clegg, Schoolmaster, of Badgerhill, England, and Monimia Hodgson, widow. This indenture concerns the sale of four parcels of land known colloquially as The Four Days Work. The total cost of the land was four shillings.
