Scope and Contents
Series I, Administrative Records, contains administrative documents for the Eugene branch in several subseries. Subseries A contains bylaw and policy documents. Subseries B contains board membership documents. Subseries C contains information on the membership of the Eugene branch. Subseries D contains meeting information for both the general membership and branch board meetings. Subseries E is historical information including documents from when the AAUW was the ACA. Contains documents from 1913-2010.
Series II, Correspondence, contains correspondence for the Eugene branch.
Series III, Financial Records, contains the financial documents for the Eugene branch. Included in this series are treasurer reports, yearly budget documents and information about the fellowship award. Contains documents from 1922-2010.
Series IV, Committees, contains documents from various committees within the Eugene branch. Included in this series is the kindergarten and preschool committee.
Series V, Branch Events, contains documents pertaining to the events in which the Eugene branch was involved. This includes teas and luncheons, conventions, exhibitions, programs and educational opportunities. Mrs. Wayne Morse is mentioned in the Oil Painting Exhibition documents.
Series VI: ‘Greater AAUW Records’ contains AAUW documents from the larger AAUW community. It is sorted into state and national documents.
Series VII, Publications, contains publications by and about the AAUW. Included in this series are the newsletters of the Eugene branch, newspaper clippings and the publications produced by the national AAUW. Contains documents from 1935-2010.
Series VIII, Scrapbooks and awards, contains 6 scrapbooks, 1 wood backed award, and 2 unframed award documents. Contained within the scrapbooks are newspaper clippings, membership documents, event information, and branch historian reports. Contains documents from 1941-2012.
Series IX, Photographs, contains photographs.

Biographical / Historical
The Eugene branch of the American Association of University Women was founded February 27th 1913 as a branch of the American Collegiate Alumnae.
The Eugene group hosts social events, supports local early childhood education, and advocates for the advancement of women. As a member of the Oregon state division of the AAUW, they supported the Oregon fellowship award, and hosted the state division conventions in March 1947, and in April 1985.

Abstract
The Eugene-Lane branch of the Association of American University Women (AAUW) is a Woman's association whose members have gained degrees in higher education. This collection contains such items as historical scrapbooks, Administrative and financial records, records of Branch events, and some small amount of state and national documents.
