Biographical / Historical
Orval J. Millard was a circuit court judge for Josephine County, Oregon. He was born in February 1901 in eastern Oregon. Millard graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1931. He practiced law in Oregon, and was a partner in the firm Miller and Millard. In 1936, he was elected district attorney for Josephine County. In 1947, Governor Earl Snell appointed Millard to the Josephine County Circuit Court. He retired from the bench in 1965. Millard died on July 1, 1974 in Grants Pass, Oregon.
