Scope and Contents
The collection (1929) contains a scrapbook created by Herbert S. Johnson of Adams and Goodell family documents, correspondence, and genealogical research.
Correspondence includes original letters of William Lysander Adams, Olive Frances Goodell, Helen E. Adams, Inez Adams Parker, and Thomas McBride.
There is also a typed copy of Inez Parker's "Early Recollections of Oregon Pioneer Life."
Most of the collection consists of copies of documents bearing on the genealogy of the Adams and Goodell families in America.

Biographical / Historical
Herbert S. Johnson gathered documents and correspondence of his family. He was the son of John W. Johnson, (first president of University of Oregon), and grandson of William Lysander Adams. Other family members include Olive Frances Goodell, Helen E. Adams, Inez Adams Parker, and Thomas McBride.
