Scope and Contents
Collection consists of genealogical material and research, much conducted by Duniway family members. Included are letters and research regarding descendants of Abigail and Ben Duniway. There are tables and notes regarding the family history of John Tucker Scott and letters of his descendants. Included are tables, notes, books, photographs, and correspondence related to the family and clan of Anne Roelofson Scott. The James Scott papers include documents, correspondence, and other materials pertaining to James Scott, Abigail Duniway's grandfather.

Biographical/Historical note
Anne Roelofson was born in Kentucky in 1811 to Mary Smith and Lawrence Roelofson, Jr. She and John Tucker Scott were married in 1830 in Illinois. Anne died in the Wyoming Territory in 1852, during the family's journey to Oregon. John Tucker Scott was born.
