Photographs in the collection include portraits of McMillen and documents of his career, and prints from the books "The Green Frontier" and "Possums, Politicians and People."

Abstract
Wheeler McMillen (b. 1893) was a newspaper reporter, became editor of the Covington, Ind. Republican, editor of Country Home, and editor-in-chief of Farm Journal. He was founder and president of the Farm Chemurgic Council. In the 1940s he was active politically, ran for the governorship of New Jersey, and was a presidential candidate. Collection includes book manuscripts with related material, most notably Bugs or People--Which? (Appleton, 1965); correspondence; speeches, articles, editorial columns, and broadcast interview transcripts; and scrapbooks, sound recordings, photographs, and books.
