Scope and Contents
The collection (1914-1964) contains over ninety pieces of correspondence, collected Chinese documents, and a few personal items.
Correspondence includes a series of Trimble's "round robin" letters (1930-1964) to missionary friends and associates.
There is also a folder of letters from Chinese students and associates, 1922-1930.
There are also letters, a diary, and a small scrapbook diary, by Mrs. Edith Alford Trimble (1914-1920) describing her life in China.
Another folder contains letters from C. G. Trimble, 1925, a minister in a Bartonville, Illinois, Methodist Church.
There is a folder of collected pamphlets and small newspapers from China.
The collection also includes a personal account book, mostly detailing food purchases (1917-1918), and a folder consisting of passports and visas.

Charles G. Trimble (1884 - ) was a medical missionary in China. He was associated with the Methodist Mission in Foochow in 1914, and later with the Alden Speare Memorial Hospital in Yenping.
