Scope and Contents

Collection consists of one 49 page reminiscence, typewritten and includes photographs. Photocopy is included. Discusses incidents relating to Miller's crossing the plains to Oregon in the summer of 1853 with the Butler train out of Monmouth, Illinois. Includes his experiences in the goldfields of southern Oregon and northern California.
