Scope and Contents
The collection (1908-1912) contains correspondence regarding freight business in Oregon.
The collection contains over 200 letters. Most of the letters are detailed reports by Morse to Miller about freight and business prospects in Oregon and Washington communities, especially in the newer irrigated areas.
Businesses include Oregon Railroad & Navigation Co., Oregon Short Line Railroad Co., Union Pacific Railroad Co., and Southern Pacific Co.
