Incoming correspondence consists of about forty letters regarding Jones' campaign for state senator from Marion County, Oregon.

A number of the letters refer to anti-Catholic measures in the Legislature.

W. Al Jones ( -1918?) was born in Marion County, Oregon. He served in the Oregon state house as a senator at least twice, representing Marion and Wallowa counties. He also owned a stock farm in Wallowa county.
