Scope and Contents
The collection (1968-1971) contains feature stories written by Ted J. Bush and others regarding life in South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
The stories give the impression that wartime South Vietnam was a "pleasant place." Topics include electric power cooperatives in small towns ("Brightening the Hamlets"), and efficient transportation despite minor obstacles ("Vietnam's Trains are Running"). The Vietnam War itself is mentioned incidentally.

The Vietnam Feature Service was the propaganda arm of the Joint United States Public Affairs Office. The feature stories were offered gratis to newspapers and magazines in the U.S.
Most stories in the collection were written by Ted J. Bush, U.S. Navy public relations officer.
