Biographical / Historical
The Pacific Northwest Hardwood Association, of Portland, Oregon, was formed to encourage compliance with the lumber code of the National Recovery Act of 1933. The association made sure member lumber companies abided by the code which set maximum hours of labor, and a minimum wage.
The organization did not incorporate. Officers were J. A. Irwin, B. B. Ostlind, F. C. Goodyear, A. R. DeBurgh, and M. L. Mead.
