John Joseph Villair (1876- ) was an Oregon pioneer and resident of Josephine County. The collection consists of a typed transcription of Villair's reminiscences as told to John C. Kuhns (1887-1901).

Letha Evangeline Ward Wakeman was a missionary in Africa. The collection comprises personal diaries, correspondence and material relating to Wakeman's involvement with missionary work in the Congo during the mid-twentieth century. The material related to the Congo, in addition to correspondence, includes missionary publications. The collection also contains biographical material on Wakeman and her husband, who received correspondence from the Oregon State Hospital.

Abstract Morris Watson (1901-1972) was a reporter, labor leader and an active participant in progressive causes of the 1930s and 1940s. Albert Richard Wetjen (1900-1948) was a writer who was known for his sea stories and novels and was also editor of the Oregon Magazine. The collection (1923-1945) contains correspondence regarding the condition of writing in the Pacific Northwest and also manuscripts of stories.

Frederick W. Wichman served as a seaman, and in the infantry in the Philippines during the Spanish-American War and Philippine-American War, 1898-1901. The collection contains diaries and letters Wichman kept during his military service, and during a voyage around the world in 1901.
