The collection contains bill of sale to People's Transportation Co. for the steamer Relief, signed by John Cochran and others, on July 1, 1865.

Stephen Coffin (1808-1882) was a pioneer and early Oregon landowner. The collection consists of a deed issued by Coffin for "lots seven and eight" of "block number 5" of the Portland town site.

The collection contains the record book and the stock certificates book for the Columbia Mines Company.

The collection contains a bill of lading dated July 3, 1860, for the Oregon steamship Columbia.

The Committee to Keep Firemen Police and Teachers on the Job, directed by Roy N. Vernstrom, was formed to defeat Oregon state ballot measure number 7 (the 1 1/2% tax limitation), on the ballot November 5, 1968. The collection contains campaign materials including correspondence, advertising, memoranda, statistics, financial accounting, opinion surveys, and a study of the campaign by Verstrom.

The Community Action program originated in the Department of Human Services and participants undertook action in local communities. The collection contains two copies of a VHS video of the project.

The collection contains a letter dated March 4, 1873, from G. W. Connell, an Independent Order of Odd Fellows member from Vancouver, Washington Territory, to J. T. Apperson, the Grand Master of Oregon. In the letter, Connell asks Apperson for his opinion about a brother who is in arrears for $18.00.

Cooley & Company was a general store in Brownsville, Oregon. The collection consists of account books, day books, journals, cash books and ledgers.

Lewis C. Cooper was an early resident of Portland. The collection consists of a deed transferring ownership of Cooper's Portland, Oregon Territory property to Thomas F. Scott.

Coos Bay and Coquille Transportation Co. was a steamboat company and the original directors were Nat H. Lane, Charles Merchant, and C. B. Golden. The collection (July 11, 1873 - February 11, 1876) contains meeting minutes and treasurer's reports.

Tee A. Corinne (1943-2006) is a photographer, artist, writer, and lesbian activist. The collection includes correspondence, literary manuscripts, artwork, photographs, artifacts, and other documents that reflect Corinne's life and work.

Marshall Eugene Cornett (1898-1947) was a business owner and politician of Oregon who served in the state senate from 1941-1947 and was killed in a plane crash while still in office. The collection (1935-1949) contains correspondence files and speeches.

The Cornucopia Mines company of Oregon was incorporated July 30, 1927 by Robert W. Betts, Blaine Hallock, and James H. Nichols as a successor company to the Baker Mines company. The collection contains corporate records, financial ledgers, and correspondence, 1918-1941.

William James Crawford was an attorney in Oregon. The collection contains selected case files. The major case is before the Indian Claims Commission, number 17, Snake River or Piute Indians v. United States, a suit to recover value of reservation land.

John Creighton (1834-1884) a pioneer of 1858, came first to Washington and later became a rancher in Oregon, where married Mary J. McCully of Salem. Mary McCully's father, David McCully, invested in some of Creighton's enterprises. The collection (1867-1885) contains correspondence, clippings of the Creighton and McCully family and related family members, receipts, bills, certificates, and other papers.

Ralph Reynolds Cronise (1886-1962) was a newspaper owner and civic leader in Albany, Oregon. The collection consists of correspondence, business and civic files, photographs and ledgers.

The collection contains a typed copy of a letter dated October 20, 1889, from C. S. Culver of Mantorville, Minnesota, to his brother and sister Lucius and Amanda Culver. The letter is a description of transportation facilities and natural resources of Oregon during 1889.

Henry Cummins (1840-1901) was a well-read and enthusiastic student of topics various and sundry with a partiality for pseudo-science. The collection (1858-1863) consists of Cummins' personal correspondence as well as a memory book and miscellaneous papers.

The collection consists of one album of C.W.R. Co, logging, pulp and paper manufacturing processes and products, with extensive captions. Shows equipment, facilities, and personnel. Some photos by Brubaker Aerial Survey, most by Acme. 1910.

Junior F. Daggett (1891-1960) was a lumberman in Prineville, Oregon. Papers include correspondence, legislative documents, and subject files relating to Daggett's work in the lumber industry spanning multiple organizations.

Danish Brotherhood and Sisterhood lodges are fraternal organizations organized around a shared Danish heritage. The collection (1908-1981) contains records of the Danish Brotherhood and Danish Sisterhood lodges of Junction City, Oregon.

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Oregon Chapter began with the formation of the Multnomah Chapter, in 1896, and during the early 1900s Anne M. Lang served as vice president general, and state regent of the Oregon DAR. The collection (1913; 1917-1936) contains correspondence files.

David McCully was an Oregon pioneer who became a successful businessman, owning a general store and butcher shop in Salem, Oregon, and as one of the incorporators of People's Transportation Co, in 1862. The collection (1875) contains an account book for the butcher shop in Salem.

The C. Girard Davidson Papers document the career of attorney, politician, and businessman Crow Girard "Jebby" Davidson (1910-1996). The collection is organized into major series concerning government projects, legal cases, political activities, and business interests. The majority of material related to Davidson's service as Assistant Secretary of the Interior (1946-1950) is housed in the Truman Presidential Library in Independence, Missouri.

This collection includes professional and personal materials relating to Eleanor Davis’ work on the advancement of women in Oregon. This includes her involvement in groups such as the Task Force on Sex Discrimination in Education, the State Advisory Council on Sex Discrimination in Employment, the Oregon Council for Women's Equality, the American Association of University Women, the Unitarian Church, and a variety of other civil rights-related commissions and task forces.

Francis DeWitt was a pioneer who came to the Oregon Territory from Germany in 1847 on a sailing vessel. The collection consists of a deed, drawn up by DeWitt, transferring ownership of two lots in the city of Portland to Philander Buchanan.

Matthew Paul Deady (1824-1893) was a lawyer, politician, and judge in the Oregon Territory, who became Oregon's first U.S. District Court judge in 1859, a position he retained until his death. The collection contains a letter dated April 11, 1884, from Deady, of Portland, Oregon to Melvin C. George, of Washington, D.C. regarding the judicial salary bill.

Delta Nu Alpha is an international organization dedicated to transportation and logistics. The collection contains University of Oregon chapter records that document the functions, activities, and people of the organization. Records include correspondence, newsletters, meeting minutes, membership files, national materials, subject files on transportation topics, and photographs, 1947-1958.

Frederick Mason DeNeffe (1882-1965) was educated at the University of Michigan and starting in 1907 he worked as an attorney in Portland, Oregon. The collection contains legal files regarding oil, coal, gas, silver, sugar, and mining companies.

The study of rhetoric and performance has been a part of the curriculum of the University of Oregon since it opened its doors in 1877; the Department of Speech also used to offer classes in radio, film, theatre study, and also dramatic performance. The bulk of the collection (1948-1999) consists of records when the Department of Speech was heavily involved with theatre performance.
