Woolverton family papers
John Woolverton came overland from Iowa to Oregon in 1856 and settled in Polk County, Oregon. The collection (1864-1941) contains a copy of an overland journal to Oregon, a history of John Woolverton, and proceedings of the National and International Association of Woolvertons.
W.P.A. Oregon Historical Records Survey records
The Historical Records Survey (H.R.S.) was initiated by the federal government in 1935 as one of five programs under the Works Progress Administration (W.P.A., renamed Work Projects Administration in 1939). All W.P.A. projects ended in February 1943, and most H.R.S. records were deposited in public repositories. The Oregon Historical Records Survey collection, arranged according to its original order, contains detailed documentation of Oregon history and records.
Albert Zieber diary and letters
Alfred Zieber (1830-1890) travelled overland from Peoria, Illinois to California. The collection consists of Zieber's diary of his journey, as well as four subsequent letters from his father, John S. Zieber.
