Urling Campbell Coe (1881-1956) was a physician who practiced in Bend and Portland, Oregon. The collection (1940-1942) contains correspondence, a scrapbook, and material relating to his published recollections, titled Frontier Doctor.

Henry Cummins (1840-1901) was a well-read and enthusiastic student of topics various and sundry with a partiality for pseudo-science. The collection (1858-1863) consists of Cummins' personal correspondence as well as a memory book and miscellaneous papers.

Originally from Maine, A. P. Dennison (1824-1896) held numerous minor political offices in the Oregon Territory, including Adjutant General. The papers consist of receipts, letters of appointment, reports, and a bound scrapbook.

Katherine Lucas Fenton of Portland, Oregon, was a pioneer and the mother of the two soldiers. The scrapbook is composed of newspaper and magazine articles relating to Oregon history. Includes considerable material on the Whitman controversy, and an article on Oregon history by William MacLeod Raine.

Evans Smith McComas came from Iowa to Oregon to work in the mines in the 1860s. He later owned and edited newspapers. The collection consists of scrapbooks and the McComas diary, 1862-1867, which describes his journey on the overland trip to Oregon.

Joaquin Miller (1837-1913) was the pen name of Cincinnatus Hiner Miller, a Northwest writer, newspaper publisher, and poet. The collection (1868-1960) contains correspondence and published works by Miller, and also material collected by Pherne Miller regarding her Uncle Joaquin, including photographs, as well as her personal papers.

Milton Shannon was the first postmaster of Monroe, Oregon, and he also owned a general store. The collection (1868-1876) contains a scrapbook of invoices and receipts.

Abstract Mason Young Warner was born in 1868, the son of parents Agnes Stewart and Thomas Warner. Mason Y. Warner married Celia A. Hyland in 1894. The couple lived in Lane County all their lives, except for a short time spent in eastern Washington. They had three children, Ivan, Claire and Erma. The collection is composed mainly of correspondence, some personal files, and photographs. Most extensive in this collection is the Claire Warner Churchill Thompson material in Series IV.
