Julius Basinski (1844 - ) immigrated from Germany in 1866 and travelled west in 1870, first to Montana, and later into Oregon and Washington. The collection (1894-1921) contains reminiscences by Basinski and incoming correspondence.

J. H. (John Henry or Heine) Christ edited a book regarding the recollections of a Pony Express Rider, Isaac Van Dorsey Mossman, who worked for the Pony Express in the mid 1800s. The collection (1954-1955) contains manuscript and research material, correspondence, photographs, and publicity.

Urling Campbell Coe (1881-1956) was a physician who practiced in Bend and Portland, Oregon. The collection (1940-1942) contains correspondence, a scrapbook, and material relating to his published recollections, titled Frontier Doctor.

The collection contains Marianne Hunsaker D’Arcy’s autobiography, both in handwritten form, and typed. D’Arcy was among the first generation of Americans to settle in Oregon.

The Orange Gaylord diary is a typed copy of Gaylord's accounts of his travels to and from the west during the years 1850-1853.

W. Harry Hembree was a ship captain and master ship builder in Oregon. His family, and the Kellogg family, owned and built ships and created a freight transportation company in the Willamette Valley. The W. Harry Hembree Papers consist of the retelling of Hembree's grandfather's 1843 overland journey, a 1947 interview in which Hembree reminisces about his family and his life, and Hembree's 1912 log of the Althea voyage from Portland, Oregon to Alaska.

James Neall (1820-1903) was a pioneer, merchant, and entrepreneur from Philadelphia who established claims and businesses in Oregon and California. His wife, Hannah Lloyd Neall (1817-1912) was a cultural enthusiast and suffragist who wrote for numerous early California publications. The collection consists of reminiscences, correspondence, miscellaneous papers, bound volumes and a painted tin box.

Orson Avery Sterns (1843-1926) was an Oregon Pioneer soldier who later became a successful agriculturist, politician and stockman. Collections contains 114 pages of handwritten reminiscences to Effie Taylor of Medford, Oregon.

J.M. Sutton enquired, gathered information, and wrote an account of Rogue River Indian War of 1855; it is only known that he wrote the account, not that he participated in the war. The collection (1863) contains Sutton's account of the war, and a letter from Sutton, addressed to "Sir," explaining that he had "gleaned" his account from "enquires made."

Joseph Nathan Teal (1858-1929) was an Oregon rancher, lawyer, investor, and civic leader who was an advocate of waterways development, and served as U.S. Shipping Commissioner from 1920-1921. The collection contains a manuscript of a series of reminiscences of ranch life during the 1850s through the 1870s, in eastern Oregon, that Teal wrote down for his family in 1921.

William Tichenor (1813-1887) was an Oregon pioneer whose attempt to settle a town in the area that would become Port Orford was derailed by skirmishes with people of the Tututni tribe. The collection (1849-1886) contains William Tichenor's reminiscences and family histories, other family documents, and newspaper clippings.

Warren N. Vaughn (1823-1907) was a Oregon pioneer who settled in Tillamook, Oregon, and served as county treasurer, county commissioner, sheriff, and assessor. The collection (1851-1858) contains a typed version of his recollections about the early history of Tillamook.

John Joseph Villair (1876- ) was an Oregon pioneer and resident of Josephine County. The collection consists of a typed transcription of Villair's reminiscences as told to John C. Kuhns (1887-1901).

Ahio Scott Watt (1824-1909) was an Oregon pioneer of 1848 who became clerk of the first court in the Oregon Territory. The collection (1802-1835) contains Watt's personal and family reminiscences.

George Miller West (1831-1912) was a pioneer and carpenter who travelled to Oregon and California to gold mine in 1853. Collection consists of one 49 paged reminiscence, typewritten and includes photographs. Photocopy is included.
