Collection is comprised of a Deed of Land documenting the sale of land from Samuel and Permelia Nebeker to Seldon Warner, all of Linn County, Oregon.

Originally from Maine, A. P. Dennison (1824-1896) held numerous minor political offices in the Oregon Territory, including Adjutant General. The papers consist of receipts, letters of appointment, reports, and a bound scrapbook.

Orvil and Alice Dodge lived in Jacksonville, Oregon, where Orvil worked as a photographer. Collection includes several handwritten letters to David P. Walrad and his wife along with a brief history of Norman Dodge by Orvil and Allen Dodge (his sons).

James Douglas is a legendary figure in British Columbia, from his fur trade days at Fort St. James to his dual governorship of Vancouver Island and British Columbia. His journal describes a voyage from Fort Vancouver to California.

Willis Dunagan was a farmer in Marion County, Oregon. The collection consists of Dunagan's diaries from 1859 to 1897, a folder of legal documents, and two original school diplomas earned by Dunagan.

The Durham family was based in Kentucky, although some family members moved out west. The collection (1846-1925) contains correspondence, telegrams, an obituary, an article clipping, and poetry.

John F. Eccles, of Portland, Oregon wrote a letter dated March 13, 1862, to Colonel Brophy, of California, about the nature of Oregonians, and also about mining.

The Ellmakers are a prominent pioneer family who first settled in Lane County, Oregon in the 1850s following their journey across the United States on the Oregon Trail. The Ellmaker family papers include personal papers of members of the Ellmaker family; maps, drawings, and photographs; artifacts; books and periodicals; and genealogical research and resources.

Elwood Evans (1828-1898) was a lawyer, politician, and historian of the Pacific Northwest. The collection consists of a single notebook intended primarily as source notes for Evans' historical work.

Hymen Fairchild (1832-1907) was an pioneer and early resident of Jackson County, Oregon Territory. The collection consists of land sale agreement between Fairchild and brothers Thomas and Robert Beale.

Katherine L. Fenton was a pioneer who settled in Portland, Or and a mother of two soldiers. Includes a letter in which she describes the lives of her family including her father as well as her own and the transformation from pioneer days to a modern progressive community.

Katherine Lucas Fenton of Portland, Oregon, was a pioneer and the mother of the two soldiers. The scrapbook is composed of newspaper and magazine articles relating to Oregon history. Includes considerable material on the Whitman controversy, and an article on Oregon history by William MacLeod Raine.

Fort Hoskins was established in 1856 on the Luckiamute River in Benton County, Oregon to protect and monitor the new coastal Indian reservation. The collection includes post orders, letters books, and records of the proceedings of the Councils of Administration.

W. Gale was an Oregon pioneer. The collection consists of a single letter written by Gale in which he discusses his "Oregon claim".

Ira Gardner was a woodworker, who wrote letters from Oregon to his family in Iowa, during the mid 1800s. The collection (1865) contains three pieces of Gardner's correspondence, in which he praises Oregon's "froots" and "psalmon," but damns the weather.

Edward R. Geary (1811-1886) was a pioneer, missionary and educator. The collection consists of a typed transcription of a letter to John McLellan in which Geary describes his "travel's history" in Latin America and Oregon.

Wyona Eliza Surfus Gordon was an Oregon pioneer and school teacher. The collection consists of a detailed typewritten memoir of an overland wagon trip from Kansas to Oregon in 1883.

John Smith Griffin (1807–1899) was an Oregon pioneer and missionary. The collection consists of a handwritten letter by Griffin regarding the establishment of a Congregational Church near the Tualatin River.

A. J. Grover, of Auburn, Oregon wrote a letter dated December 17, 1862, to Edwin Beebe of Portland, Oregon. The collection (1862) contains one letter discussing business and society in Auburn, Oregon.

A. J. Grover wrote a letter dated April 18, 1863, to Edwin Beebe, of Placerville, Idaho to say that he had been delayed by Indians and it was too late for best market in Placerville; he also quotes prices in mining towns.

The collection contains one letter dated January 5, 1863, from A. J. Grover to Edwin Beebe, of Portland, Oregon, giving a good report of Boise mines.

J. K. Guttry (1869 - ?), of rural Sheridan, Oregon, became a teacher and worked in in Harmony, Oregon. The collection (1889-1891) contains Guttry's diary.

The Amelia A. Hadley journal includes entries regarding her 1851 journey from Galesburg, Illinois to Oregon City, Oregon.

The Lawrence Hall commonplace book is the single volume ledger of financial transactions and a weather record of an Oregon City resident.

Hallock was born in Utica, New York. He trained as a cabinet maker, draftsman, surveyor, and civil engineer and became one of Portland's earliest contractors. The journal describes his experiences on the coast, daily transactions and experiences during construction jobs. He fished, trapped, observed the weather, visited, and was visited.
