The collection reflects the settlement and growth of a pioneer family, their personal lives, social contacts, business affairs, and educational and cultural experiences. The major files concern: Henry Hill, Nelly May Hill, Verd Hill, Henry Denlinger, Wendell Denlinger, and Clyde Hill. Among the Nelly Hill letters are five from Herbert C.
