Oregon legislative assembly Interim Committee on Social Problems records
The Oregon Interim Committee on Social Problems was a committee of the Oregon House of Representatives which investigated social issues such as sex offenses and divorce. The collection (1961-1962) contains records from the files of Oregon representative William J. Gallagher, and consist of working papers, minutes of the full committee, and the subcommittees on social problems, divorce, and sex offenders, and also includes reports, statistics, and correspondence.
Oregon. Legislative Assembly. Interim Committee of Judicial Administration records
Joint Resolution 24, by the Oregon Senate, created an interim Committee of Judicial Administration that was empowered to inquire into and make recommendations regarding the feasibility and need for reorganization of judicial districts in Oregon. The collection (1957-1959) contains questionnaires and evaluations of judges and courts, drafts of bills, subcommittee reports, and recommendations.
Oregon. Statewide Relief Council records
In 1932, the Oregon Statewide Relief Council investigated and reported on unemployment, food surpluses and deficits, and educational opportunities in Oregon. The collection (1932) contains minutes, correspondence, reports, and also food, unemployment, and education surveys.

The Portland Seamen's Friend Society was a social and reform organization devoted to the welfare of sailors in the port of Portland. The collection (1877-1899) contains an account book that lists income and expenditures of general and special funds by date, and includes a name index.

Frank Purinton (1895-1991) was an activist who sought to preserve the United States and Christianity from the "Communist-Zionist-Satanist" plot. He was active in the American Legion and the John Birch Society and published a patriotic Christian newsletter. The collection includes correspondence, manuscripts, and printed materials reflecting Purinton's views.

Lemuel Pratt Putnam (1884-1968) had a long career of service with the YMCA and the Presbyterian Church, as a social worker and pastor. The collection (1911-1963) contains correspondence, religious writings, subject files on religious organizations, and biographical information.

Corwin V. Seitz papers
Corwin V. Seitz was a member of the library staff at the University of Oregon from 1924 until 1957. The collection (1917; 1942; 1949-1952) contains six volumes of diaries that reflect the social and emotional issues that face a person who has a stammer, and also a short memoir, poetry, and writings regarding travel and work.

The collection consists largely of collected printed material relating to suffrage (1915-1930) and temperance, (1918-1947), and to a lesser degree socialist politics and the Christian Science religion, and also includes general correspondence, manuscripts, diaries, and address books.

The Philip Sterling papers include publicity material for a number of radio shows in the 1940s and 1950s, professional correspondence, manuscripts, research material and correspondence relating to biographies. There is also a considerable amount of research material on Rachel Carson.

Reward notice offering $15,900 for the capture of the three DeAutremont brothers: Roy, Ray, and Hugh. The DeAutremont brothers held up a mail train near Siskiyou, Or., on October 11, 1923. Reward notice gives details about the holdup and detailed descript.

The first Oregon branch of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union was formed in 1881, and by 1891 there were eighty-three branches in Oregon. The collection (1889-1910) contains a treasurer's book of the Gardiner, Oregon branch.
