Scope and Contents

The plans series contains primarily hand-drawn plans, as well as office copies, for Corry's residential and public landscape architecture projects. Supplemental project materials including building and irrigation plans from other architects, cost estimates, and notes can also be found with some landscape design projects. Most projects were conducted in Ashland and Medford, Oregon, however several other areas, including 17 cities and counties in Oregon, five cities in California, and one city in Massachusetts, can be found among the plans. In addition to Ashland and Medford, Corry designed Oregon residences and public landscapes in Central Point, Eagle Point, Gold Hill, Gold Rey, Grants Pass, Griffin Creek, Harbor, Jackson County, Jacksonville, Klamath Falls, Lincoln, Murphy, Phoenix, Roseburg, Sutherlin, Talent, and White City. Corry also designed for clients in Edgewood, California; Fresno, California; Hilt, California; Montague, California; Yreka, California; and Springfield, Massachusetts.



Public projects of note include Corry's designs for Lithia Park (Ashland, Oregon), Ashland Community Hospital (Ashland, Oregon), Ashland Junior and Senior high schools (Ashland, Oregon), Bear Creek Park (Medford, Oregon), Bellview Public Grade School (Ashland, Oregon), Crater National Bank (Ashland, Oregon), Dean & Taylor Pontiac Co. (Medford, Oregon), First Baptist Church (Ashland, Oregon), First Baptist Church (Medford, Oregon), First Church of Christ Scientist (Medford, Oregon), the Ashland Branch of the First National Bank of Oregon (Ashland, Oregon), George A. Briscoe Public Grade School (Ashland, Oregon), Jefferson Elementary School (Medford, Oregon), KWIN radio station (Ashland, Oregon), Medford Congregational Church (Medford, Oregon), New Hilt Elementary School (Hilt, California), the Rogue Valley Branch of the Oregon Bank (Medford, Oregon), Phoenix Church of Christ (Phoenix, Oregon), Rogue Valley Country Club (Medford, Oregon), Talent Elementary School (Talent, Oregon), Walker Avenue School (Ashland, Oregon), Yreka City Park (Yreka, California), and work commissioned by the Oregon Shakespearean Festival Association.

Arrangement

The plans series is arranged alphabetically by client name. In the event a client name was unidentified, plans were filed under project title. Clients for which Corry designed multiple projects were given a primary name heading; individual projects were then nested under these name headings.
