Abstract
The Michael J. Bowen collection of Black exploitation film posters and pressbooks consists of about 150 items of printed advertising material, representing 100 different American films produced during the 1970s. The bulk of the collection represents the "Blaxploitation" or Black exploitation film genre, but the collection also represents other Black-oriented concert films, art films, comedies, and melodramas.
