Merwin K. Hart (1881-1962) was a lawyer and political figure who founded the New York State Economic Council. The collection contains records from the National Economic Council.

Marjorie O’Connell Shearon was a paleontologist and employee of the Social Security Board who later shifted careers to become a lecturer, author, editor, publisher, legislative consultant, and opponent of nationalized medicine. The papers include correspondence, manuscripts, subject and source files, publications, financial records, and personal papers.

Harrison Spangler (1879-1965) was a Spanish-American war veteran who later served as a committee member and National Chairman of the Republican Party during the 1930-1940's, and after WWII became involved with Oregon politics. The collection consists of five major series: Wayne Morse, Robert Taft, Richard Neuberger, the Republican Party, and Harrison Spangler personal records.
