Ursula K. Le Guin was an internationally renowned Oregonian novelist, short story writer, children’s author, essayist, and poet best known for her world-building science fiction and fantasy works. She was also briefly a painter, an art reviewer for the Chicago Sun, a chicken farmer, and a CIA analyst.
