Letter from Abigail Scott Duniway to Prince Lucien Campbell, President of the University of Oregon, asking him to use his influence to get one of her letters published in the Guard [Eugene Register-Guard]. Also includes a carbon copy of Campbell's reply.
Lawrence Thomas Harris (1873-1960) served in the Oregon House of Representatives (1901-1903) and as a justice in the Oregon Supreme Court (1914-1924). The collection (1915-1918; 1923-1927) contains personal and political correspondence files and testimony from the Taxpayers Equalization League, a group that supported the Zorn-McPherson bill to consolidate higher education in Oregon.
The Mazamas mountaineering and conservation club was established on July 19, 1894 on the summit of Mt. Hood; the group works to promote mountaineering and advocates for the protection and management of natural areas. The collection (1894-1916) contains photographs of hikes up the Three Sisters, correspondence, and printed Mazama material.
Prince Lucien Campbell (1861-1925) served as president of the University of Oregon from 1902 until 1925. The collection contains records that document the Office of the President, 1902-1927.
