Laurence (Larry) Barretto (1890-1971) was a novelist, magazine editor, and war correspondent. The collection consists of WWI diary pages and WWII diaries, correspondence, manuscripts, published materials, and scrapbooks.

The papers consist of Dana Burnet's correspondence, 1926-1959, primarily with his literary agents Carl and Carol Brandt; manuscripts of short stories, plays and screenplays, most notably The Great Commandment; tearsheets; and contracts.

The John and Ward Hawkins Papers comprise fiction manuscripts and teleplays, correspondence, non-fiction manuscripts, and screenplays by American writers John and Ward Hawkins.

Frederick Nebel (1903-1967) was a mystery writers contributing to the pulp magazines of the 1920s, and a principal writer for Black Mask. The collection consists of manuscripts of Nebel's novels and short stories, correspondence, published works, and miscellaneous papers.

William L. Worden (1910-1982) was a journalist who settled in the Pacific Northwest and wrote about the region. The collection consists of Worden's early correspondence and manuscripts, including manuscripts and research for his history of the Matson Navigation Company.
